“The location is simply too good, 2-3 minute walk to Istiklal street and right into the action. Restaurant Wama is the closest and very highly rated. 2 convenience stores next door to the aparthotel and open till very very late. The walk to Istiklal is NOT a steep slope and very easily walkable for all ages. Brew Lab coffee shop in the same building for coffee lovers. This street goes downhill straight to Tohpane tram station in 10 minutes. The walk up will be steep for elderly and old folks but shouldn't be a problem for fit people. My wife did the walk up from Tophane 3-4 times. Opposite Tophane station is Galataport Mall, maybe another 3 minute walk and Ali Pasha Hammam which is one of the best, oldest and most luxurious hammams. Ali Pasha mosque is next door to the hammam and it is beautiful. Sultanahmet is 3 stops away from Tophane. Karakoy is walkable distance as well. Enjoy seafood under the Galata bridge. Taksim Premium Residence/Hotel was perfect for us. Ideally it's best for a couple but it can handle a small child because the sofa-cum-bed is huge. The space is small but compartmentalized well into a small bedroom with a double bed, one full bathroom, small lounge/living room and a tiny kitchenette with electric hob, coffee machine, electric kettle, cutlery, pots n pans, complementary water bottles and everything a kitchen needs including a newish dish washer. A small store closet with a safe security box, newish washing machine, ironing board, iron, vacuum, extra bedding, towels, pillows. Bathroom had great water pressure like a 5 star hotel with separate soap, shampoo, body wash bottles. Not the biggest of bathrooms but it was adequate for us. Mattresses were on the softer side, not ideal for anyone who likes stiff/firm cushioning. Bring your Firestick along and plug into the non-smart TV for streaming services otherwise all channels in Turkish.”
